The Basin Primary School class
photographs on the Internet is associated with the Knox
Historical Society School
Photograph Project.
The Society has undertaken to
catalogue all school photographs within the City of Knox and some
adjoining schools that service the City of Knox. Photographs are
collected, catalogued, archived and shown at school reunions and
major festivals.
The Society requires
assistance from the public by providing photographs and
naming/verifying pupils in early photographs.
With respect to The Basin
Primary School Class Photographs on this site:
Most images are smaller
and lower resolution copies of the originals for pupil privacy
and to protect the interests of the Society. Full size originals
can be viewed at the Society headquarters and a copy provided at
nominal cost. Some images did not
originate from the Society and are better resolution but with no
names. Some photographs have
been cropped when scanned to remove extraneous background. Not all names are
provided and there is no guarantee that any names provided are
correct. If you can provide any
new photographs or assist with naming/verifying pupils in the
photographs, please Knox Historical Society. Many thanks to Jim and
Barbara Stephens who collected and named all the original
photographs.
