History of The Basin

The Basin is a small town on the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges about 30 kilometres from Melbourne in Victoria, Australia. This site allows you to view various information relating to the History of The Basin.

The bulk of the historical information is available as a printed book which can also be downloaded as a PDF file. The book is an updated version of my 1992 book “Fire on the Hill - Flowers in the Valley”.
